During Covid-19 we've all had a chance to order Uber Eats more than we probably ever thought we would, but at least its led to this comprehensive list of Melbourne's best takeaway spots!

DOC DELI
Carlton
Most of us in Melbourne are well s with the delicious Italian fare that DOC has to offer - but I suspect many have overlooked the deli next door. This deli does sell amazing cheeses, deli meats, and other Italian specialties but what I love most are their paninis. This one is my favourite - wagyu panini for $13 which comes with wagyu bresaola, pear, parmesan, rocket, and a creamy honey dressing. In saying that, every single panini they offer sounds amazing and you should go and try them all!
FISHBOWL
Various locations inc. CBD
Fishbowl is another takeaway wonder. The food is fresh and so so delicious. The roasted sesame dressing is a must and no matter if you pair that with sashimi, miso eggplant, or tofu it will be all delicious! The ability to create your own perfect poke bowl makes this place the ultimate takeout destination. It's not cheap - around $20 for a bowl - but the ingredients are fresh and delicious so you never feel guilty.
ETTO PASTA BAR
various locations inc. CBD
Etto is another delicious take away staple (despite my terrible photography). They make all their pasta fresh and give you generous serving sizes for the well earned price of $16. I have an obsession with their pesto but the other sauces sound equally delicious. With couriers through all major delivery apps these pastas truly make the perfect night in.

VINCENT THE DOG
Carlton
Vincent the dog is a great cafe with a deliocus sounding menu but I've never tried it because I can't get passed their bagels. The bagels themselves are nothing special - just a choice between sesame or plain, but they have a long list of topping to choose from, all for just $14, if you're like me you take that as a challenge to get as many topping as possible - and it's delicious. Pro tip: if want to sit on the nature strip they'll give you table service to the grass!
