THAILA THAI

Thaila Thai is an amazing Thai restaurant in Brunswick that creates affordable meals that are so delicious. For $14 you get a very generous serving of Pad Thai and for $2pp you can BYO your own alcohol and leave with big smile and your wallet still in tact. SHANGHAI VILLAGE
Chinatown / CBD
Shanghai village is an absolute favourite of mine! The food is so inexpensive but so delicious. A massive plate of dumplings will only set you back $8.80 not to mention delicious additions like sweet and sour pork on rice for just $10.30. This place is amazing for big groups and the BYO means you don't have to break the bank to down some beers with your dumplings. Such a win!
Thai City
Carlton
Another Thai BYO legend is Thai City on Lygon street. Wander down towards the city, away from the pretentious part of Lygon and you'll reach the part with down-to-earth bustling restaurants and lively people. Thai City is one of these restaurants that does BYO for $3 a head, delicious and generous Pad Thai for $15.90 (and look at the beautiful egg on top!), and the best ever peanut sauce with roti for just $4.50! The staff are exceptional, we seriously wanted to be adopted by our kind and fun loving waitress who just laughed when we pulled out a bottle of wine each!
