this place lives up to the sad trope that restaurants with views rely on those views to cover up their average food, service, and inflated prices.
These were the sweet corn fritters with bacon and an egg added, totalling at $29. Let’s be fair, there’s many breakfast places with these prices, and for this view I’d happily pay that. However I also know that both other Bellissimo locations do better food at lower prices, so that’s when it gets hard. And don’t get me wrong this food is by no means bad, just average (or slightly above). And that’s totally fine if the goal is to have a catch up with a friend, or show a tourist a great part of the city, with food just happening to be involved (which it always should be).
My point is that if you are specifically craving an amazing feed and nothing else don’t go here. If you want amazing views of Brisbane over coffee and breakfast - this is definitely the best place to do it. I also haven’t tried the lunch / dinner menu so that could be where they shine.
