Hugo’s Deli

Hugo’s Deli

@hugos_deli definitely living up the great Melbourne sandwich hype.

This place was awesome. You definitely have to wait about 15mins for the food (and that’s on a weekday) but it’s well worth it. The chicken was good to try but the Ruben is definitely the winner. This may be controversial but I thought the mortadella sandwhich had too much meat on it. I mean way better than being skimpy but I had to take half of it out so that I could actually taste the sauces as well haha.

Overall I think this place great. Service was kind and didn’t make you feel rushed at all despite their busyness. Would happily go back for that Rueben again. But if I had to choose, I do love Hector’s deli’s hectic sauce on their Rueben, but I prefers Hugo’s chicken sandwhich 😁. But it’s not a competition and if you’re thinking about trying Hugo’s my answer is definitely yes.

Also if you’re looking for somewhere to eat them head across the road down green street and under the train line and there’s a little park right there 🥰
