This is definitely some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life. It’s a sushi bar inside a Japanese grocery store on smith street in Fitzroy.
If you go you need to get the nose maki mix. Every single piece was an explosion of flavour, with my favourites being the eggplant (trust me) and the salmon aburi.
The California roll was good but no where near as flavourful as the others so next time I’d just get more of the other ones.
Pro tip this place gets so so busy it is not the type of sushi place you just show up to and leave with your food. I definitely did not know this and had to wait an hour for my sushi so I ended up just walking around the entirety of Fitzroy - which was fun to be fair but definitely pre order online!!
The store itself also has so many other gems so it’s so so worth a visit. Especially for the quality of the food, and fresh sashimi it’s insanely well priced too.
