The best food I had on Hamilton Island without a doubt was from the Hamilton Island Golf Club
✨kingfish sashimi
✨burrata
✨chicken breast
✨roast potato
✨toasted sesame green beans
✨fish of the day
✨affogato
This restaurant technically isn’t on Hamilton island itself - you take a very short ferry over (you have to have a reservation to get on the ferry) over the to island that solely houses a golf course and clubhouse.
If you play golf you get access to a cheaper menu with foods like burgers, but if you’re coming for the restaurant you instead get a 2 course menu to choose from.
This food was the only spectacular food I had from the restaurants on the Whitsundays - If you love good food you need to come here while you’re on Hamilton island. The menu changes with the seasons, but I’d highly recommended the kingfish and the tartare, the burrata was good but it wasn’t as spectacular as the other entrees.
If you want to order sides (they’re an additional $10 each) then the green beans and the salad were both good, however they’re not must orders.
The affogato on the other hand, it’s an additional charge if you’ve chosen to get an entree and a main but it was the best affogato I’ve ever ever had. It had cinnamon croutons and chocolate “soil” that took it above and beyond. You truly must order this it was incredible.
You will also get offered a free tour of the golf course which if you have time is a bit of fun. You drive yourself around the golf course in a big convoy. Hot tip: you can order a cocktail for the drive that comes in a little plastic cup.
This is definitely a great thing to do on your trip if you have time and a must do if you want a good foodie experience while you’re there.
