If you know anything about the melbourne food scene you've probably heard of this place, and for good reason. Serving up some of the best tacos in Melbourne, and some of the only birria tacos, they constantly have lines at their food truck. I was lucky enough to get in during their collaboration with @holmeshallbar so that I could try their food in a restaurant paired with margaritas (always a must). The wait times were long but the food was delicious, fresh, and hot so it was all worth it in the end.
While I did come here to try their famous birria quesatacos they actually ended up being my least favourite dish. They weren't as flavourful as the other tacos, mostly just tasted like meat and not much else (good meat to be fair so some people would love this, I on the other hand am not a massive meat fan so it wasn't great for me), the consommé also had just more meat flavour but was also really quite greasy. This is not to say they were bad though, just not what I would recommend from this amazing food truck. The holy trinity on the other hand was show stopping. We tried both the vego and meat option and both were great (with the meat being a little better even though I had to admit it #vegoforenvironment ). They each had their own salsas, amazing tortillas, and quality meat. The escabeche was also great, but not a must order. guac is guac and of course always great.
they currently have a pop up that occasionally opens up via an actul store front in St Kilda, but as usual their food truck is doing its rounds - check out their insta for it times and locations. You really should check it out if you want greta mexican food.
