I cannot believe I didn’t post this earlier - it got lost in my camera roll! But this is the famous @agnes.restaurant
This place was so ultra hyped when it first opened it was insane. It was so difficult to get a booking. They originally opened a bakery in its place during lockdown and it went wild - lines starting at 6am going for hours! So when the restaurant opened everyone was very excited to see what they had in store.
The concept is basically that everyone is cooked on a fire. So while for some dishes that added a complexity and depth to the flavour profiles - for some it just tasted overwhelmingly like smoke.
Overall the venue was nice, the staff were really friendly, and the food was good. I don’t think it lived up to the hype and isn’t in my top places in Brisbane. But it was a nice experience.
I am however very excited to try their bakery @agnes.street.bakery
